Here is my final! I am horrible at video editing but I had decided to go with only some of the videos that were taken when my friend was with me because I had more people interacting during that time and the footage was a better quality then when I was on my own in Go Fish and with the couple I might have broken up on the trash can. I also had birds participate at one point and this is already a sort of comedic project so why not add them in. All in all, the tourist attractions here are really overpriced for such a small little town that does not even exist on the list of some of the biggest tour attractions yet this town is a tour attraction itself and people decide to go here instead. My tour consisted of taking them on a walking tour through St. Augustine on a map with our fingers. I originally just asked people if they wanted to go on a tour and of course the answers were no right away or "I was just on a tour" so I spiced it up a bit by adding that my tour was 5 dollars and then I would give them a special discount price of minus 5 dollars gaining some attention. Most people looked at me funny and thought I was a crazy person, yet again dragging their children away from me, but when I had one person going on the tour with me then that gained other peoples attention and some people joined in instantly. Mostly people said no but this video is made up of some of the yes' I received. I started to then ask them where they would like to go making the tour more personal and giving them little snippets of what we see and do along the way such as taking a photo at the Bridge of Lions. I also played it sort of dumb when it came to the tours because I myself have a tour guide license due to working on Ghost tours over the summer and I had to take the test like everyone else, yet when I went on tours people were being fed the wrong information from some tour guides here. So it illustrates my point a bit more.I also forgot to mention that I found this empty visitor tour booth and pretended like I worked there.

Careers, Yes They Do Exist
In the beginning of this semester I wanted to do a project based off of careers in the theatre department because my talk with Andrea led into talk about how people tend to stray away from a theatre major and minor because of their friends and family telling them that there are no jobs for anyone with a theatre major. This hit a personal home base with me because I've been told that many time throughout my life. I originally had planned on making posters since participation from the art department was so scarce but when we had two visitors come into our class and talk about their lover project I had to take from that. This project consisted the process of me researching the whole semester on certain jobs and careers that Andrea had told me about in the beginning as well as the sheet she handed to me (in my folder). The next part of the process was deciding which careers to choose and use to make the letters. I narrowed down my process to thirty and then bought a stack of small cards and envelopes and began to write my messages. Each letter contained a different career and a different message about how they came to that process or what's next on the agenda as well as having their own personality different from the last in the way it was written. Some of these careers included education, and jingle writer, ticket booth worker, director, and so on. I had also addressed each letter differently saying "To You,To whom it may concern", and so on to make them inviting to people. I decided to hold this project within the week of exams December 8th and on because of graduation and another semester passing by. I mostly left them around the theatre but I had also placed them around the campus in the dining hall, rotunda, student center and other places so that other majors can see these letters and start thinking about the different options that a person within the field of theatre has. I'm not going to lie, I forgot to take photos after I placed them but I took these photos above while in the process of making them. Each day I left them in those certain locations within the spaces between books in the library, in a bush, on a desk in Kenan and I started noticing that some of the letters were disappearing while others were being moved. People were picking them up and looking at them. Which is another reason why I didn't want to take a photo because it was a sort of personal project. I count this project as 2 projects because the theatre department is hard to work with since they have productions and other things going on and because of all of the research and processes I had to take while thinking and making them. I also had showed a friend each of them who works in the writing center to make sure some of them were grammatically correct and sounded different from others.

A Night of Improv
I am so pleased with how this night had turned out. I found this project quite difficult to achieve due to differences within times and places between the Theatre department and I. This project consisted of gathering both Theatre and non-Theatre majors for a night of improv together since I've noticed that even though auditions are open to anyone and everyone on campus, only the roles are given to the theatre majors, Especially since it is required of them. On top of this they also are planning but do not have a theatre club for both the theatre major and other students to interact with each other and enjoy the aspects of theatre. To begin with, I was talking with the theatre club APO about hosting the night each time coming up with a date that was pushed back all the way until December 5. It was held in the Gamache Koger theatre since that is the next best thing to the theatre. When I finally got the okay I started out with creating a poster for all to be seen by hanging on the walls and having Andrea send out an email to everyone in the theatre department. Next on the night of improv I went to the store and bought the usual snacks because who doesn't love free snacks and I had mentioned it on the poster to get students a little more excited. That night I had a sign up sheet ready to go and I asked a friend of mine in theatre to lead the games since I myself have never played improv before. I picked an improv night because its more relaxing when it comes to theatre and it's more of a game that anyone can join in. Also because I wanted to help the theatre department get a start on their theatre club and show them that they can have people from outside of the department. Ten people showed up which was unexpected for me and 4 of them were non-theatre majors. Originally on my poster I listed that the night would become a 2 hour improv night and it lasted a little over 2 hours because everyone was having so much fun. We exhausted the list of improv games and everyone went home with a smile on their face. I believe this was a very successful project because of the turn out and the fact that it had lasted over 2 hours. That and the fact that I had to push through my obstacles is why I count this project as 2 projects. Exactly what I was going for had happened.

Are You Talking To Me?
For this project I had decided to take some of the theatre students who sit together all hours in the day and take them out of their comfort zone by sort of forcing them to talk to people they do not know in different majors and ages and act out a certain script with them.To begin this process I picked out those who always hang out together whether it be during Dhall or going out to Walmart. I had originally planned on having 7 people work through this process but in the end most were busy and so it came down to 3 of the theatre students. Each of them followed within that category of constantly hanging out within the group. Next my process included figuring out which script I wanted them to participate with. I asked Andrea if she had any suggestions that had a conflict within the script that would call for some tension but still be fun to sort of play along with the fact that both people would be uncomfortable. Right away she gave me the script "The Ketchup Bottle" and I thought it fit perfectly into the scenario. After this I had set the date up and opened it to all 7 of the people I had in mind. When the 3 people gathered with me I had handed them 2 scripts one at a time and a cup of ketchup due to me forgetting the ketchup bottle at home. I then had given each of them 3 options to choose from after they had completed the task. The first was that they could stay and have a conversation with that person about whatever they'd like. The second consisted of them doing the first and then moving on to find another person and perform the same task again. Then the third and last option was that they could walk away and they didn't have to say anything else. I believe these options would give them the idea of starting to socialize with people outside of the group of theatre kids. I met them all in front of Kenan since it is the meeting place of most majors outside of the Theatre as well as tourists and teachers. Each one found a person, 2 students and a teacher and performed the task beautifully. Then all of them to my surprise stayed after they finished and talked with the person they had rehearsed the script with and talked about how they never read it before then and other things. This was the main goal of the project and it was completed by all three! I believe this project was successful because of it. To my surprise each one of the people they had gathered were pretty good at acting out the script and using their hands to gesture and everything. I had taken footage of the three different people completing the task and I had taken a video of a reading but the video would not load on here. All in all I believe this project was quite successful and will help them branch out from the group more and so far I've seen slight changes towards that within 2 of them as they welcomed one other person to the group and hung out with that person and the persons friends separately.
